LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Discovery Capital announced today that it has acquired Clear Capital Advisors. Bruce Pompan, founder of Clear Capital Advisors, has become a Partner at American Discovery Capital and is joined by Clear Capital’s Susan Goodell Goldman and other members of its investment banking team.
American Discovery Capital (ADC) is an independent merchant banking firm providing Merger & Acquisition, Restructuring and Capital Raising advisory services as a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. ADC also makes principal investments in leading family-owned and middle-market companies in selected high-growth sectors through American Discovery Fund, LP.
Clear Capital Advisors is an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private capital placement, restructurings, and providing strategic advisory services for middle market companies across the U.S. Clear Capital’s founder, Bruce Pompan, was recognized as a “Top Private Equity Advisor” for 2020 by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Both American Discovery Capital and Clear Capital Advisors are based in Los Angeles. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Examples include the majority recap of Quality Built led by Gallant Capital Partners, the sale of LAC Group to TZP Growth Partners, the recapitalization of New Wave Entertainment, the sale of Los Angeles–based CompuLaw to a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners, the sale of San Diego-based Extrameasures to Blackhawk Network, and a recent $125+ million private placement for Santa Monica-based Watt Funding. Clear Capital Securities LLC and certain other assets owned by Clear Capital Advisors LP were not included in the transaction.
